Description
SS 304 Angle
SS 304 Angle is an ‘L’ Shaped metal bar made of 304 stainless steel grade, created to form the structure and components for applications requiring greater strength. The right SS 304 Angle Bar can be formed in various sizes and dimensions using laser fusion or hot rolling techniques depending on the requirements. The SS 304 angle bar dates back to its creation in the early 1900s when it was primarily used as a material for home appliances, architectural structures, and automotive parts. Today it is widely used due to its durability, affordability and high corrosion resistance due to chromium content and ease of fabrication.
304 (1.4301) is the most widely used stainless steel grade in the world. This grade is used at least one third of all stainless steel products. This grade is written as 1.4301 or X5CrNi18-10 according to EN norm and it is written as UNS S30400 according to UNS norm. This grade can be also shown as 18-8 or 18-10 and these numbers indicate the chromium and nickel percentages of the material. This grade can be weld easily and machinability of this grade is good. For better corrosion resistance, 316 or 316L could be a good alternative.
304 grade stainless steel has a really good price/performance and because of its good price/performance, 304 grade used very widely in many different applications. It is a very widely used stainless steel grade and it is really easy to find this stainless steel grade in any shape and in any size. In daily life, most of the stainless steel products around us are produced with 304 (1.4301) stainless steel grade.
