S355J2+N Plates
Steel grade S355J2(+N) with material number 1.0577 according to DIN EN 10025-2 belongs to the non-alloy and normalised structural steels. In general, steel S355J2+N is suitable for all common welding methods.
At the lowest product thickness, the yield strength is at least 355 MPa. The notch impact test is carried out at -20°C and must reach at least 27 J for S355J2+N.
S355 Grade ranges S355JR, S355J0, S355J2, S355K2 which are non-alloy structural steel material specified in EN 10025 standard.
“S” means structural, “355” representas yield strength at 355 Mpa minimum. JR specified the steel need to be impact testing at 27 Joules with logitudinal Charpy V-Notch impact test at room temperature. Which there are different designations of charpy test includes J2, J0, and K2.
