Description
NM500 Plates
NM500 Plates is a high-strength wear-resistant steel, which has a high wear resistance, Brinell hardness value reaches 500 (HBW) mainly in the need to wear the occasion or location to provide protection to the equipment longer life, reduced maintenance brought maintenance and downtime, and the corresponding reduction of capital investments.
Heat treatment: quenching and tempering (quenching and tempering).
NM500 wear-resistant steel is widely used construction machinery, mining machinery, mining machinery, environmental protection machinery, metallurgical machinery, abrasives, bearings and other product components.
NM500 Sheet Steel is one steel grade in GB standard GB 24186. NM 500 steel is a high-strength, wear-resistant / abrasion resistant steel known for its superior hardness and durability. This steel is specifically designed to withstand high wear conditions and provide extended service life in challenging environments. With a hardness range of 470-540 HBW, NM500 is widely used in applications where resistance to abrasion is a primary concern, such as in mining equipment, construction machinery, and other heavy-duty applications. The strength of NM500 wear-resistant steel is more than 3 times that of ordinary low-alloy steel plates, and the wear-resistant performance can be increased by 2-3 times, significantly extending the service life of the steel plates.
Supply Range of NM500 Plates :
- • Thickness – 3mm To 100mm X 2000 mm Width X 6000 mm Length

Application of NM500 Plates :
NM500 steel is widely used in industries that require high wear resistance. Some of its primary applications include:
- • Mining equipment
- • Construction machinery
- • Heavy-duty trucks
- • Industrial machinery
- • Wear plates and liners
NM500 wear-resistant steel plate can be used to produce various mechanical components such as: bearing races, crankshaft sleeves, piston rods, oil pump rotor bodies, cam pin linings; engine connecting rod bolts, nuts, washers and set screws; hydraulics Cylinder plunger ring, valve core seal; diesel engine cylinder head cover, valve lifter; tractor blade edge, chain rail joint lock block, mud scraper baffle, etc.
NM500 plates can also be used in the field of engineering and construction, and can be used in welding seam surfacing layers of bridge support beam welded components, extended anchor sections of railway track sleepers, drilled concrete prefabricated pile heads into retaining pipes, highway pavement base paving materials and various metals Anti-corrosion protective coatings for structures, etc.
NM500 steel stands out as a top choice for applications requiring superior wear resistance. Its unique combination of hardness, strength, and durability ensures extended service life in the most challenging environments. Whether you’re in mining, construction, or any industry in between, NM500 steel promises to deliver unmatched performance.
