EN45 Flat Bars is a silicon manganese Spring Steel supplied in flat bars. EN45 is suitable for oil hardening and tempering. When used in the oil hardened and tempered condition EN45 Flat Bars offers excellent spring characteristics. EN45 Flat is commonly used in the automotive industries for the manufacture and repair of leaf springs.
EN45 is silicon manganese spring steel grade is commonly supplied in the as rolled condition.
EN45 is a silico-manganese spring steel widely used for the manufacture of leaf springs and knives. EN45 is a silicon manganese spring steel (approx. 0.55% carbon), suitable for oil hardening and tempering.
EN45 is suitable for the manufacture of springs and blades, widely used for making automotive leaf springs and much favoured in the manufacture of historical blades. Closely related or equivalent grades include 250A53, 250A57 and 55SiMn7.
EN45 Spring Steel is a high carbon alloy steel that is used for swords, automative leaf springs, heavy spring parts and some customized knives. The steel is oil hardening and tempering and can be formed into a variety of different shapes and sizes. EN45 Spring Steel has a high tensile strength and is corrosion resistant.
EN45 has higher strength and hardness, and has better machining and grinding capabilities, which can be processed and formed in a variety of ways. This makes EN45 high carbon steel one of the ideal materials for the manufacture of elastic components.
