51CrV4 Round Bars (50CrV4)
51CrV4 Round Bars is a German standard spring steel. 50CrV4 spring steel has good mechanical properties and process performance, high hardenability, adding vanadium to refine the grain of the steel, reduce overheating sensitivity, improve strength and toughness, have high fatigue strength, and have a high yield ratio. , But poor weldability and low cold deformation plasticity. It is a higher-grade spring, used as a high-load important spring with a larger section and a valve spring, piston spring, safety valve spring, etc. with an operating temperature of <300 ℃.
51CrV4 Round Bar is chromium vanadium type spring steel. It’s a similar alloy steel to 5150 steel with small, but effective, vanadium addition, to import greater hardness. 51CrV4 Round Bar has low distortion properties and is easily heat treated. The 51CrV4 Round Bar steel grade is suitable for oil hardening and tempering.
51CrV4 Round Bar steel is usually supplied in the as rolled condition. When used in the oil hardened and tempered condition 51CrV4 Round Bar spring steel combines spring characteristics with excellent resistance to both abrasion and shock. Hardened 6150 steel offers excellent toughness and shock resistance which make it a suitable alloy spring steel for parts exposed to stress, vibration and shock.
