4140 Round Bars
4140 Round Bars is used for manufacturing various types of plastic molds, hot forging dies, and hot stamping dies. The material can also be used for making cold work tool steels. This material has high strength, toughness, good
hardenability and good resistance to impact. It is widely used in the construction of machines, axles, gear shafts, wheel and base plates. It is also used for the production of large plastic molds.
SAE 4140 / 42CrMo4 / 1.7225 / EN19 is a versatile heat treated steel, which is characterized by its high strength and toughness. It is mainly used in mechanical engineering, and for vehicle and automotive use. Gear, crankshafts and connecting rods are manufactured from it.
AISI 4140 is a common Chromium Molybdenum Steel that usually used after quenched and tempered, with high intensity, high hardenability.
