21CrMoV5-7 Round Bars / 1.7709 Round Bars
21CrMoV5-7 Round Bars is alloy structural steel and its equivalent 1.7709 Grade belong to the group of high temperature boiler steels for energy industries. They are used in the production of components/subassemblies for the power industry, working at the temperatures up to 550°C for small parts and for large forgings. The main applications of these grades of steel are rotors of steam turbines, rotor blades, shaft forgings, reservoirs and covers for up to 550°C temperatures, nuts, tubes for high temperatures up to 540°C.
21CrMoV5-7 is a steel for fasteners with specified elevated and/or low temperature properties. M-treatment is very beneficial when the machining is done in Q&T condition and the hardness is about 300 HBW.
21CrMoV5-7 steel,also refers to DIN 1.7709, is defined as pearlitic heat-resistant steel with high content Cr and Mo as per EN 10269 Standard. While 21CrMoV5-11,with higher Mo content(1%),can be seen as an upgraded version of 21CrMov5-7 steel.
Both of them can work at around 500° for a long time and are mainly used in petrochemical, coal conversion, nuclear power, steam turbine cylinders, thermal power and other occasions with harsh conditions and corrosive media. Main applications: rolls, boilers, reactors, heaters, steam generation device, etc.

Locomotive traction with the big gear, supercharger drive gear, pressure vessel, rear axle, gear load of connecting rod and a spring clip, 21CrMoV5-7 steel can also be used to under 2000 m deep well of oil drill pipe joint and the fishing tool, and can be used for bending machine mould, etc
